Ever hear of a US President named Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt ?

Back in the days when he lived, America was still mostly a wild country with many

hunting for food and game as a way of life. Big game hunting was the absolute sport

of the day and often President Roosevelt would sponsor extensive hunting trips into

the wild back country.

His guide on those hunts was with a man named Bob Rushing. A copy of one newspaper article

written on the matter is attached and you can read it by simply clicking here. (Published Soon)

   MrGemStoneEyes is his grandson.

So the MGEM love of outdoor adventure is not just a new temporary infatuation, but is a born instinct

inside from the beginning. By the age of 11 & having already several big game kills, a new love was

struck the moment “dad’s metal detector sounded off” & we found 40 silver dollars at the base of an old

Spanish Oak tree. From that moment, hunting game seemed foolish and elementary. Finding treasure

was a much greater thrill, and hunting it became the ongoing quest of a lifetime.

By age 14, MGEM played base on the sousaphone (tuba) and was the only member of the entire

school band to play in both the Junior and Varsity High School Bands at the same time. He earned

several awards with the school band and soon learned to play “the guitar” - this new popular fantastic

musical instrument made popular in that day by bands like the Beatles & by people like Jimi Hendrix

& others. Yet time passed and bands came & went and living money could only be generated by

working a job, so the love of adventure and music had to wait awhile.

As with many young men who grew up in the New Orleans area, the shipyards were where the

money was, and most either worked “off-shore” on rigs or in the shipyards that built the rigs and ships.

It was a time of Dr. John in New Orleans, and although fun, it seemed the right place at the wrong time

and the music just still would not come together. Years passed as time will, and although treasure

hunting was still the hobby to be involved in, there was no music.

Suddenly, everything changed in a single day. It changed by the uneventful, even casual trip into our

local electronics store in the mall. For inside the store was a box containing some software. And inside

that software was the power to transform any PC into a digital recording studio.   Click - Boom.

From it came Dancin Sands Studio and subsequently, Gold-Rocks.

Without question, this software has totally revolutionized recording forever. With it, even the small

working bands (bands who’s members work a job for a living) can record their work at the pace of their

lifestyle and, it doesn’t cost thousands & thousands of dollars to create & produce. With it, every band

now has the opportunity to record their work and be heard by others.

   Bands just as MrGemStoneEyes.

“For surely without it, my music would have never been heard; &

we would have missed one of the greatest of all treasures I have ever found.”       -MGEM-

Copy Written© 2009 - 2018

..is written as a memorial theme to

the Choctaw Nation. For their love &

loss; for all that was but is no more.

For although things are better now,

that which makes us better also

ultimately enslaves us.

The song itself is a soft to hard pro-

gression beginning as a piano melody

and ending with the uniform sounds

of 11 different instruments compiling

into a rockin pitch; before slowing &

cycling through the piano melody

once again.

Despite being a theme, Ballad of the

Choctaw is a definitely a party song

that can be used with or without

a dance.

..is written for those that work or have

worked a job for a living (most of us).

The song is a rap - rock music melody & is designed to get you up and going no matter how hard the job.

Features a Ronan styled lead guitar

that is boss & full of melody. Possibly

one of the best songs on the cd, as

said by some. Yet most find it difficult

to pick a favorite.

..is written in memory of Bob Rushing (of

the story above). Though you cannot be

here to listen to it, I’m sure you would

have liked the song and maybe even

danced around the camp of a Choctaw

fire to it’s “get down” boogie.

Something I miss seeing to this day.

The song features two base guitars as

the rhythm & beat sequences, giving it

a “boogie” sound right from the start. As

the lead hits peak, it will artfully bring us

back around to another verse of foot-

stomping grandpa boogie executed in

rock style.

..is written for ex-President Bill Clinton,

who created NAFTA, the import/export

Bill that pushed the US trade deficit to

beyond record levels. For now, all US

businesses must take the “China Road”

to survive.

Vocals in China Road hum the melody

“we’re all walking tha..Chi-na Road” while

the background “strings” twang with the

homeland sounds of China.

Lead guitar blends well with the songs

theme and works to create long waling

sound peaks that lead back to another

Verse. A very distinct & cool melody.

..is written for those of us that now work

with & buy goods from India, specifically

their gemstones.

“As MrGemStoneEyes I have an interest

in acquiring beautiful gemstones & India

has the selection & price if you are lucky enough to find a reputable dealer.

“An American in India” is a song themed

as a “India Sound” with bongo’s & tom-tom

drums combining with the mystical tones

of the middle east.

It’s also the proper song for the cd’s

ending as the latter stanzas are soft and

dreamy as it closes.

..was written on a stormy night in the

north Georgia hills. Our tents could not

hold back the water and all were soaked

to the bone. Yet the next morning we were

back to GOLD Hunting & the rain gave us

access to dredge places not normally

worked due to lack of water.

Now each time we go back, we hope to

just ... “Let it Rain”.

The song is a “slow” melody but rings with

an angelic voice seemingly to pierce the sky.

Very powerful and moving vocals, combined

with contemporary beat and synthesizers

which imitate the sounds of rain.

A favorite of some. Liked by all.

3rd Cut; Workin’ Man Whistle

5th Cut; Let it Rain

6th Cut; Wales of the Rockin Sea

..is written for those love rock music.

Wales are the many unique sounds that

rise up from the depths to heights that

cause waves of “rockin pleasure”.

Hard hitting melody that can be danced

to or played loud while relaxing on the

couch. Features dueling lead guitars that

work together “talking” about the wales of

a rockin sea. Very unique with a trippy -

‘waleee’ sound backed up by a good

hearted rock rhythm.

“The song is my personal favorite of

the entire cd.”

                                   -MGEM-

2nd Cut; Ballad of the Choctaw

4th Cut; Grandpa’s Kickin Lil Boogie

7th Cut; China Road
